Notes

MCB, TMM, & BD:

I thought I would try a section of the LJ that I have never fished before, so I went over to Tipton and went downstream from the DHALO section. I fished a section that is close to the New Pig plant. Yes, that's the name of the company, New Pig, don't ask, I don't have a clue. The water levels I listed above are for the gauge at Spruce because that's the only one I every check, in fact it may be the only one on the LJ. The water levels and flow were a lot lower in the section that I fished this morning. I like the drive over to Tipton because I take the road through beautiful downtown Skelp.

I don't think I have to bother trying this section again, at least not in the summer months. I caught 12 fish, but they were all small fish and that gets old quickly. I caught two brown trout, the biggest one and the biggest fish of the morning was the 9 inch brown that I caught early. I caught 2 Fall fish that were little fish and 8 smallmouth bass, the biggest one was only eight inches long. Not a great morning. I would have been better off just walking down to the Stone and spending three hours stalking the Fall fish and Bass.
