Notes

MCB & TMM:

I thought I would give Spring creek another try this morning, but it was fairly low, so I picked the section behind Milesburg because I knew it would have a good water flow. I was thinking about fishing the Bald Eagle below where Spring enters it, and then fishing up Spring. I walked down to the mouth of Spring about 7:30 and there were already three or four guys fishing the B.E. right below Spring. I assume that's because they can keep the fish and that's where the trout in the B.E. are heading for the cool water from Spring.

So, I fished Spring from it's mouth to where they removed the dam last year. I caught 5 trout in the first 40 minutes or so and thought I was going to have a good day. WRONG! I fished for another two hours and only caught two more trout. I caugth one rainbow about 13 inches long and six browns that were in the 9-10-11 inch range. That's two bad mornings in a row on Spring for me. I guess I have to stick to the LJ or even fish the Stone for bass and fall fish. I think I'm done fishing for this week.
