Notes

MCB, TMM, & BD:

Well, today is our 46th. wedding anniversary, so I thought I might as well do something I like. I fished the quarry section of the LJ for about three hours. I started off by catching 7 trout in the first hour when I was still fairly close to the quarry bridge and fishing that big flat section. I thought that was a good sign and that I may have a big day on the LJ. WRONG, the next hour when I was fishing the middle of this section which doesn't usually get as much pressure as the two ends of the section, I only caught one 8 inch trout. I finished the morning below and above the first RR bridge above the quarry and caught 7 more fish.

I fished hard and only caught 15 fish, 13 brown trout, and 2 smallmouth bass. The biggest fish I caught this morning was a couple of 12 inch brownies. The two smallmouth bass were both little fellow in the 6-7 inch range. I caught a number of trout that in the 8-10 inch range, but as far as I could tell, I didn't catch any of those fingerlings that they stocked in the LJ.

If the weather cooperates, I may get to fish a couple of more days this week.
