Notes
When I arrived, around 4:00 pm a storm blew in. I drove up to Danskin Bridge and parked across on the west side. I fishhed just above the bridge. I found a run ear a boulder mostly submerged. It looked fishy. I started thowing up stream, a Pink Albert with my 4wt. No luck. I changed to a Pink Albert No Hackle. No luck.
I changed to my 5wt rod and threw a soft tan hopper. On my second cast into the same places i was putting the Pink, I saw motion at the surface as a fish slurped my fly. I set the hook and had one on.
He was a fighter and jumped three times trying to shake the hook. I managed to keep him on. He got below me but I was able to get him back up to where he was beside me. I managed to get him to the net. He was a heavy 15” rainbow. Very fun.
I moved upstream and I caught two on the Pink No Hackle. They were smaller.
