Notes
Fished the Owyhee River for the first time. Got to the river around 2-3. I didn't see any Owyhee stoneflies on the river, but the few trout that I tossed at took the pattern I tied regardless. Fought the Brown trout for awhile. Had trouble landing it. Hooked a rainbow trout but couldn't get net off of vest, let the line go slack and lost the fish. Fished a couple other holes. Was sight fishing to a couple rising trout, however, I couldn't get any to hit on the BWO that I was using. There was a baetis hatch, could find a convincing pattern. Also had a short leader that may have been contributing to the refusals.
