Notes
PM 8Bass 3Pike(2x4)(20.26lbs)(It was a bit bumpy in Sullivan as I headed to the SE Reeds. There was a boat spot locked that had just netted a fish as I was coming around them. I started to the West of the Inside Turn off the SW corner of the reeds. I was a cluster in the wind, and I backlashed my first cast to top it off. I only had one pike swipe at the Chicken. I switched to a spinnerbait at the inside turn. I had a quality 3lber nail the spinnerbait on the flat off of the reeds. The stupid marker buoy only partially deployed. I started throwing the 1/2oz Chicken, then switched to the 5/8oz and immediatly hit paydirt along the reed edge with a 4.93lb bass. I worked the reed edge only getting one pike swipe. I then headed to Point/Flat and the Cabbage Triangle. The wind started subsiding after I got North of the CT. There was some baitfish activity to the North of the Big Walleye waypoints. I hooked up through the bouy and discovered that I was almost on top of the baitfish.I worked the area hard and got a couple bites that didn't hook up. Time was beginning to run short, so I started working my way to the P/F Juice, getting a solid bass East of the Red. As I approached the Juice, I quickly lost two good bites in a row. I then had my second 4lber eat the Chicken. I fished another 15 minutes without a bite, then had to head in to get the pizza. I ended up not going to Mille Lacs tonight because it rained.)
