Notes

PM 13 Bass 1 Pike (2x4lb)(20.26lbs)(I had a bunch of stuff I wanted to experiment with. I discovered while throwing a few casts off the dock. I discovered that the rod I was going to use to throw the Spro Bucktail with didn't have enough line. So I put a different reel on that rod. I had a hit the second the 1/20z Chicken hit the water, but it didn't hook up on the 5'6" St. Croix Pro Glass. I talked to Todd for a few minutes. Eventually, I headed out, and it was calm and sunny. I went to NPBI and wasted 20 minutes there. My boat control was a mess. There were baitfish jumping around. I backlashed the Spro Bucktail Reel after trying to cast to a missed bite. As I headed for Sullivan, it started to cloud up, and a South wind came up. I went to the Point/Flat Juice and fished around for 35 minutes, missing a few bites before catching a fat 19.5"/4.75lb bass on the 1/2oz Chicken on the Pro Glass. It was hooked really well. I fished wth the Pro Glass for maybe 20 more minutes before deciding it wasn't sensitive or stiff enough to fish around the weeds. I did like how the Zillion cast the Chicken. I switched the 1/2oz Chicken back to the SLX Rod, but didn't switch reels, which I did after I got home. I headed to the East School and think I got a 3-lber, then started getting 2-lb fish. I was catching fish but struggling with boat control in the wind, and finally anchored. I caught more fish. It was now after 5 pm, so I headed back toward the juice and had a hit at the end of a long cast. The line broke on the hookset, but fortunately, I was able to find my line and get the 1/2oz Chicken back. I switched the 1/2oz Chicken to the Zillion Rod. Nothing at the juice. I headed back to the East School and got a second 4lb fish. I think that was my last bite as they shut down early tonight. I fished up to the Cabbage Triangle with it getting no fish dark once I was headed back North. I really wish I had gotten started sooner today. I was waiting for the parents to get back from Pierz for about an hour and a half. All the failed experimenting didn't help either)
