PM 6Pike (Well, I got up early yesterday, which in a perfect world would have meant me getting on the lake early. But something came up that I needed to attend to around 11 am. I drove around Sullivan to see where guys were fishing, only seeing four boats. I stopped at the Platte Lake access, and there were only 12 trailers, so they got about half the number that showed up last week at Gull. Platte/Sullivan has a reputation for being finicky in later Fall, so I’m guessing some guys said been there, done that, want no part of it. I went to the lake place, got the boat loaded, threw a few casts off the dock, and headed home. I got back up to the lake around 1 pm. I was on call for chauffeur duty, so I just stayed in our bay, catching 6 pike, until I was called to pick mom back up. I started well to the South of Platte Lake Resort, but wasn't getting bit so I made my way fairly quickly past the resort, where I got my first pike up by shore in 3 to 4 feet. I had quite a few bites that didn't hook up on 2025 Flat. The Fish Swami App would not let me end the trip, that is a new one. I didn't have to log on though)
