PM 10Bass (16.27lbs)(There was not enough time after dropping mom off to go back out in the boat, so I went straight to Platte Lake Access, thinking maybe a boat or two might tap out a half hour early. But weather conditions were not that bad, so that didn’t happen. A 19lb five-fish bag with 5lb 6oz kicker won it. I think 17 something got 2nd and 16 something came in 3rd. I then headed back out in the boat to fish in the wind on Sullivan. I didn’t get a bite on my first two spots. Jaimen's Reeds and the Point Flats Cabbage Triangle. I got ready to run back to Platte, but then changed my mind, deciding to drift with the wind to another spot about an 1/8 of a mile away. down the Point/Flat. I ran into two groups of bass on that drift, getting three bass from the first group seemingly randomly on the flat and seven from the area that I have run into schools before. If I had a spot-locking trolling motor or my anchor line set at a distance that would have held the boat, who knows how many more fish I would have caught? Not legthening that anchor line has burned me a few times now. My best six weighed 13.96lbs, with a 3.83lb, and the rest ranged from 2.31 to 2.64lbs. All but one of my fish today came on a 5/8oz Outkast Chicken Jig bluegill color. The App still would not let me close the trip, so I deleted it and then reloaded it. It is now at Version 1.28. I think the bugginess started at 1.24 or maybe 1.26.)
