Notes

PM 4Bass 5Pike (No scale)(12plus 4 fish)(I totally forgot that I put the scale in the Mille Lacs bag, so I wasn't as upset with the oversight this time over last time when I was going to grab it, but didn't. The plan was to drift the 2025 Flat quickly in the wind. I caught a few pike, but I got bogged down, spending 20 to 25 minutes too long. I did lose something that felt significant on the Big Blade Chatter. The rest came on the Chicken. Water temp was 45/46. I then headed to NPBI, getting a 17" that seemed maybe a bit under 3lbs. I went to SPSI and think I got a pike. I then went to Jaimen's Reeds, where it was calm. The water was 50 degrees. I caught a good genetic 18" bass in the cabbage boat lane that swirled and missed a couple times on the ToadZ. It was a high 3lb fish. I may have missed a bite along the shallow, thick reeds. I had a swirl that moved a ton of water, casting out into the reeds. I waited, then set the hook. The ToadZ came back missing a foot. Not sure if it was a big pike or I was playing tug of war with a doggy or big bass. There were some swirls over the weed flat out from the reeds. I got a 2lber pitching a jig into the cabbage/reeds. I then went chasing a swirl out from the reeds with the Bubble Walker. Nothing on that, tonight. Same for the buzzbait. I did have a 3lb bass, just crushed the ToadZ about 10 feet out from the reed edge. I got two or three more hits up and down the reed line. As it got dark, there were quite a few swirls outside of the reeds for about 15 minutes, some of which were within casting distance. I didn't get any hits, though. It's too bad a south wind returned the next day. It was pretty dark by the time I headed in and so I accidently cut into the reeds. Vikes game started as I was running Platte. I didn't watch what I imissed. The Vikes got embarrassed by the Chargers, and Wentz got the crap kicked out of him. IMO KOC should have put Brosmer in about two series earlier than he did.)
