Notes

PM 4Bass 16Pike(5lb)(12.23lbs only 4 bass)(I started East of Jenny's drifting back with the wind. Multiple Russian Gremlins to start, the trolling motor, backlashing a reel, not having the drag set correctly on a reel, not being ready with the anchor and drifing over the fish, fish biling on the ToadZ but not getting it. Anyway, I drifted to not getting a bite until I got to Jenny's Boat Lane, where I got a small bass on the Chicken, but the trolling motor acted up, and I wasn't ready with the anchor, so I ended up drifting over the spot as I was trying to take a picture and get the fish released. I eventually got the troller to power up, went back, and anchored. I backlashed the wakebait reel so badly it was done for the day and didn't have the drag tight enough on the Cull Shad rod, so I lost a fish in the weeds. I did get one pike. I picked up the anchor and did another tour in the shallow junk. I must have had 5 or 6 fish show themselves, but I never caught anything until I was back by Jenny's, where I think I got another pike. The wind came up, and the troller was still giving me issues. I did fish along the reeds, getting a few pike on the Big Blade Chattter. I then went to an area that I will now dub October Flat, which is the area just to the north of the Platte Lake Resort, deeper water cut. I started with the Chicken and wasn't ready for the first bite which happened quickly. A couple casts later I got a 3lb pike. I then chucked the Chicken way up on the Flat and a very powerful fish hit it. It was a 5.26lb bass. I noticed quite a few baitfish on the surface to the North so I fished the breakline/weedline in that direction getting multiple pike and a bunch of hits that didn't hook up. I started with the Chicken then went to the Big Blade Chatte working all the way to in front of Old Juice Dock. I then made my south again in shallower getting far fewer bites. I got to where I got the big bass and once again and got a 2lber on the Chicken. Inoticed surface activity so I threw the Bubble Walker and got a 3lb bass on that. The surface activity stopped. In the final 35 minutes as I worked by the Platte Lake Resort I had one dink pike miss the Bubble Walker and had a couple hits on the Chicken that didn't hook up. When I got in I was able to get the backlash out of the reel.)
