Notes

Great day. bite was very slow in morning didn't catch first rainbow until about noon in cove near campgrounds on lake mcswain. left for other side of dam onto the merced river at around 1:30 and caught beautiful brown trout about 2.5-3 pounds. caught 3 other rainbows from same spot just to the left of the bridge. all of these fish were caught using two berkeley yellow power eggs on small red snelled hook with two small split shots for enough weight to make it float under the surface. rainbows were small but size of the brown shows this area has trophy size potential.
