Notes
I started at a new hole after driving up to the Regular hole and not seeing any rises anywhere. I arrived to the river to see that fish had started rising in real shallow water. I rigged up with a #14 comparadun and a #20 bwo dropper. My first or second cast resulted in a missed rise. A couple casts later and I hooked a nice 16" brown. One cast later I hooked and landed a great 19" brown that was feeding about 1' off the bank, and actually moved 8" off his feeding lane to take the comparadun. After releasing him I cast to another feeder a couple feet up and missed the rise.
After that, things went pretty cold. The weather was starting to turn, the wind picked up a bit, and fish had stopped rising for the most part. I walked around and fished and missed one rise but had little action, so I drove up to the Regular hole. There were some risers up at where the riffle meets the pool but I had no rises. I tried streamers throughout the hole and only got hits from crappie. Real slow evening.
