Notes

I fished in the morning by myself out in the rowboat, making a loop around the SE bay. The fish were not active, as I trolled for quite awhile without any hits. A few fish occasionally started rising on the southern side of the bay, so I changed tactics a bit and would wind drift the boat and cast/retrieve. I finally caught a few fish, and missed a handful. Before going in for lunch, I missed a couple fish in a row on the retrieve.

In the afternoon, Mandy and I went out in the canoe. A cloud cover had rolled in, and fish were rising all over the lake. I caught a fish trolling almost immediately as Mandy paddled. We switched up, and I rowed while she trolled. She ended up landing 6 and missing a bunch. For awhile, she was getting hits every couple minutes as we trolled. It was great.

We went back in briefly to pick up a couple beers, and Matt came out with us in the row boat. I caught a couple more, then switched with Mandy. She caught a few more, and Matt was also able to bring one to the boat. The afternoon bite had definitely died down, though.
