USGS 13120000 NF BIG LOST RIVER AT WILD HORSE NR CHILLY ID
Tried across from Wildhorse Ranch on way out from Big Lost before meeting up with Lisa at conference.
Water was low(?) but never fished here before. Threw a variety until I saw this one hit the surface. Took Lisa back later that day, she had a HUGE fish she lost. And then another, and another.
The fish were a bit spooky and held in the deeper runs and fast, deep narows. Hoppers were active in the upper banks and gave us the idea to try Stims and larger flies.
I got one but let Lisa have the prime spots.
