Slow. Hoping the Hexagenias and White Mayflies would appear, but no such luck. Fished with Joe Coyne who'd arrived before I did. He said he usually fishes on Tuesday but the weather didn't cooperate. I think he caught a fish, maybe two. Me, just some sunfish.
Joe observed that you could feel fall in the air. Can the summer be gone already?
I was using my new 10' rod for the first time. Great for nymphing and also throwing a dry a medium distances, which are all I ever do anyway. But by the end of the day I had a sore shoulder.
