Notes

Damn. Fished Bow River with Josh Null and his girlfriend Jessica until about 7:30am when we went back up to pick up Crystal (Hadley at daycare). Went down to Hunters and there were a few fish in the main channel there, but couldn't get them to bite. Nobody at Cowboy Hole, so spend the rest of the day there. Saw a dozen or so fish roll and a few on the graph, but not a lot and no bites. I was calculating it on my way up river and it has been 19 hours since our last pull down and 27 hours since our last boated fish. Josh Gruber and I are heading to K-Falls to shoot prairie dogs tomorrow, should be a good break from this depressing season so far. I've talked to Kirk from SacRiverGuide a couple of times this week and he isn't even fishing, although he said that Barge Hole is loaded. So we are hoping next week's Aug 1 opener will be an exorcism. Other notables on the river today included James White and his dad, Bob Null in his new boat, Jason Zimmerman and Don Presley. Everyone except Zimmerman were off the water before us, and had nothing that I knew about.
