Notes

Minnows, minnows, minnows ...
Those little bastards ATTACKED everything I threw, both nymphs and dries. I must have caught 35 of the suckers. Immediately that your fly touched the water they started on it. Made for frustrating fishing, esp the tiny dries.

I threw so many different flies, never a trout. That is until I tied on what's pictured. I think its a Extended Body Mahogany Dun - 6 casts, 3 fish.
I had used this before with great success on the Little Wood and had thought I was out of them but I found 2 in an old flybox while taking a break. Tied it on, fish started hitting, Saved the last one as a reference to tie or buy.

Water was very low and crystal clear. Fished at the Pierce (?) Bridge just past Bear Tracks. Usually there's some holes that hold some decent sized fish but the water was so low , even they were gone. Probably worth scouting up/down from bridge for some deeper water.

BTW - anyone have any ideas or pattern instructions regarding this fly I'd love to get them from you!
