Notes

This trip turned out to be great. My intention was to catch a couple small Brown and Rainbow Trout to Mold for a project I will be working on. All I needed was one of each in the 7-9 inch range and this would have been a good trip. I have been trying for almost three years now to catch a stocked Brook Trout in the 7-9 inch range that had the body shape of a Native Brook Trout. Most of them are either too long, or they are too heavy for their length to mold for a Native reproduction. I have caught several Native Brook Trout in that 7-9 inch range, but I refuse to kill one to be molded. Well, today was the day. I caught two stocked Brook Trout. The first was only 4 inches, but the next one was 7.5 inches. Legal to keep with the conformation of a Native Brook Trout. So I ended up getting what I need for a couple of taxidermy projects and even caught a few decent trout in the process.
