Notes

Another long drive from Boise but well worth it. came in from Ketchum, left via Arco. etc - that's the long way.
The river, at least where I fished in the desert, had limited access but it was also my first time so I didn't know the area too well. The vista with Mt. Borah in the distance is awesome. As is the drive in from Ketchum. If you go, have food, full tank, etc - I was in the middle of nowhere.
Like alot of plces this year, I must have hit it right. The fish were active and aggressive. Their coloring was surprising dark. They gulped up all the Green Drakes I had, tearing them to shreds and fortunately liked my Para Adams nearly as much.
The water was relatively fast but the water is narrow so I didn't need the waders - again, maybe just cuz where I was.
Even if you don't fish, the scenery itself is worth the drive.
