Notes

Excellent afternoon although it started poorly. There was a jeep parked in the area where I had some action on the olive clouser the day before. So I briefly fished the huge pool by the camp area after I took down Ned's tent which was getting destroyed by the 40 mph winds. I snapped the clouser off on a snag and was going to pack it in but I noticed the jeep had moved from the area I initially wanted to fish so I headed back over there.

I got a 15" brown on my first cast in the 90 degree bend with the clouser but that was it. So I fished the clouser down to a point below the falls but had no action even though I had several fish on both above and below the falls the day before.

I tied on a #6 black Bunny Leech and hit the 90 degree bend again. After a few casts I landed a 16" brown that hit the leech within 1 foot of the shore. On the next cast I landed a nice 20" brown which took the leech deep in the center of the channel. I then missed a hit on my next cast in the same area. I tried working the BL down below the falls but had no action so I came back upstream and landed a 14" brown just before the bend, once again taking the leech close to the shore near the end of the retrieve.
