fished some birds just kinda working on the way, about halfway there. Got into a few then shut off. headed to my premarked spot at cross reef. slow at first. a few boats out. no bait or any water movement and no wind. john came up and met me. then headed to fish 2 sitting birds and it turned on. Wes came and met us. topwater bite turned off. wes and john picked at them with gold spoons. they both caught their limit of 15 trout. no fish for me with spoon.
