Notes

The 16" made me happy. He was tight against the far bank and I could only see his mouth when he rose. From the size of his jaws I figured he was pretty good sized. The presentation had to be accurate because if the cast was 12" too long the fly would have snagged the brush along the bank. Considering that I have already lost many flies to the brush this spring I was happy to finally make a successful presentation.

I've seen some nice sized browns on each of my last few trips to RoCr. That stream has been a real nice surprise this spring.

I had two other nice fish on which I lost. One on the EHC which snapped the line on a rock, and the other on the Sparkle Midge Adult. The Sloth MA had 2 near miss refusals from nice fish.

Nice - a 16" brown out of Rock Creek is a solid fish.
